The property was purchased in 2001 for $2.45 million.

“Malcolm” Leaves Landlord Role

Frankie Muniz, known for his childhood role in “Malcolm in the Middle,” has sold his home in Hollywood Hills West for $3.05 million.

The traditional-style house was built in 1941 and remodeled to have an open floor plan. The kitchen, dining room, living room, family room and two bedrooms occupy the lower level of the two-story home.

Upstairs, the master bedroom suite has a sitting area, a fireplace and dual closets. Two additional bedrooms are also on the upper level of the 4,200-square-foot home, which has four bathrooms.

Outdoor amenities on the gated property include a swimming pool, a spa, an outdoor fireplace and a viewing deck to take in the cityscape vistas.

Muniz, 28, was nominated for an Emmy for the starring role on “Malcolm” (2000-06). His subsequent interests have included race car driving and being a drummer in Kingsfoil. He recently announced that he was leaving the band because of upcoming scheduling conflicts. Muniz is working on the movie “Hot Bath an’ a Stiff Drink 2.”

He bought the house in 2006 for $3.499 million and had been leasing it out.
