It’s hard to believe that after 53 years, Original Pizza in Newport Beach is closing on Jan. 31 and becoming a Taco Bell concept. It was a favorite local landmark restaurant since the early ’60s. It will be missed.

You can say your goodbyes and attend a going away party like no other—complete with an outdoor stage, four bands, beer and pizza on Saturday, January 28 from noon to 6 p.m.

A portion of all proceeds will go towards the Environmental Nature Center Preschool Fund, The T-1 Diabetes fund for kids, and the Newport Beach Film Festival

There will be a Back Alley Big Show celebration with Original Pizza, beer from your favorite breweries, and entertainment from The Swingin’ Tikis, Electric Cool-Aide and Critens, and more to come.

Tickets cost $25 per person. You can purchase them here and pick up it up at Original Pizza on Jan. 28.
